SIX NIGHT GROUP DOLPHIN RE-TREAT
Dolphin Re-treats run Monday to Monday in low season and include a 6 night stay in Ponta do Ouro and four boat based tours whereby you will accompany our small team to look for and monitor our local dolphins. One can expect to be waking up early and spending around 3 hours at sea, the tour is kept to a maximum of 6 guests and is suitable for people who want to maximise their time spent in Mozambique with our wild dolphins! Re-treats are intended to be a fun, relaxed, wellness experience that can be adjusted to suit your groups needs depending on your requirements.

BASIC ITINERARY

DAY ONE
Group Transfer from Maputo International airport ±2hrs.
Arrive and settle in at accommodation.
15:00 Meet and greet; gear allocation and dolphin snorkel course with practical session. This prepares you for your time in the open ocean; familiarise yourself with gear and learn how to observe and engage with marine mammals in a calm and respectful way. After a quick shower and change we meet back for an introduction to our resident dolphins, behaviour in the wild and the DolphinCare Code of Conduct.

DAY TWO
05:00 Meet to welcome in the sunrise, coffee and snack up (rusks and muffins/breads supplied pre-trip) and embark on our first sea journey in seek of our finned friends.
09:00 Breakfast at lodge followed by free-time

DAY THREE
05:00 Meet to welcome in the sunrise, coffee and snack up (rusks and muffins/breads supplied pre-trip) and embark on our second sea journey in seek of our finned friends.

DAY FIVE
05:30 Muffins and Coffee/Tea/Juice
06:00 Day trip to visit the Maputo Special Reserve. Have a look at the PPF’s re-wilding project for yourself. Elephants, zebras, giraffes, hippopotami, crocodiles and a variety of antelopes and birdlife can be experienced. A light picnic lunch will be served and one can expect to be back in Ponta do Ouro by 2pm.
